Subregional Soil Partnerships
Within the Global Soil Partnership (GSP) exist seven Regional Soil Partnerships across the globe, including the African Soil Partnership (AfSP), the Asian Soil Partnership (ASP), the European Soil Partnership (ESP), the Latin America and Carribean Soil Partnership (ASLAC), the Pacific Soil Partnership (PaSP), the Near East and North African Soil Partnership (NENA) and the North American Regional Soil Partnership (NARSP).
Given the large geographic extent of the European Soil Partnership, several Subregional Partnerships have been established, that differ in their structure and governance. Not all countries that belong to the ESP are part of a Subregional Partnership.
So far four Subregional Soil Partnerships exist:
- the Alpine Subregional Soil Partnership (AlpSP)
- the Eurasian Subregional Soil Partnership (EASP)
- the Pyrenean Subregional Soil Partnership (ASPir)
- the Western Balkan Subregional Soil Partnership (WBSP)
Moreover Italy, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine have established a National Soil Partnership.
