In 2022/2023 several stakeholder events, international conferences and research projects took place to promotes knowledge and literacy on soils. In 2022/2023 there was quite a number of calls for proposals and priority programmes.

Under the EU Mission “A Soil Deal for Europe” several research projects are running or kick-off soon: (selection)

• EU research programmes: Co-creating solutions for soil health in Living Labs

• NATI00NS: Support to establish 100 Living Labs and Lighthouses: National events

• SOLO: Soils4Europe: Thinktanks for soil research and innovation in several fields: Land degradation, SOC, Soil sealing, Pesticides, Erosion, Soil structure, EU global footprint, Soil literacy, Soil biodiversity

• Cluster event  of projects funded under the EU Mission 'A Soil Deal for Europe' took place online on 22-23 March 2023.
